When you come across the dry leaves, a delicious aroma, reminiscent of mushrooms and pine wood, envelops your senses. Prepare this tea using the traditional gongfucha style for a truly captivating experience. The leaves reveal a complex, multi-layered flavor, complemented by a light touch of tropical fruit. As you explore the infusion, a pleasant, smooth earthiness emerges, followed by a sweet sugar cane flavor that dances across your palate.
One of the notable qualities of this aged white tea is its ability to offer multiple infusions, allowing you to explore its rich flavors. Each sip leaves a pleasant, long-lasting aftertaste, ensuring you can savor the enchanting essence of the tea with every cup.
Tasting Note: While young white teas tend to have a soft, smooth mouthfeel, if you want a stronger, richer, more complex flavor, we have a special recommendation for you. Consider adding 10-12 grams of large and small loose leaves, including some power leaves, into a teapot with a capacity of approximately 100 ml to 160 ml. To extract the tea’s full potential, we suggest using water heated to a temperature between 95°C (203°F) and boiling point. By following these guidelines, you can enhance the flavor profile and experience a more robust, intricate taste in your tea.
